Artwork Released for Pink Slime

Mac Miller has been working on a new project lately entitled Pink Slime. All the tracks on Pink Slime will be produced by rap legend, Pharrell.

So far they have released two songs, "Onaroll" and "Glow". I think I speak for everyone when I say these songs were very different than the usual Mac Miller. I'm honestly not sure how I feel about it. Regardless, here's the artwork:

Why Dedication 4 Was Delayed

The much anticipated mixtape Dedication 4 by Lil Wayne was expected to be released this week. Everyone was pumped, especially after I saw the track list which can be seen below. Personally, I'm excited for this mixtape because I believe this will be the mixtape that brings Wayne back.

Well anyway, D4 was delayed and was announced via tweet by YMCMB President Mack Maine. He did not say why it was being delayed. Lil Wayne took care of that with the release of a freestyle that will be on Dedication 4, "No Lie".

As you may know, "No Lie" is a song done by 2 Chainz on his album Based On A T.R.U. Story release this past Tuesday. On the release of Wayne's release of his "No Lie" freestyle, he announced he's delaying the release of the tape because he believes all of the attention should be on 2 Chainz and B.O.A.T.S. and he in no way wants to take listeners away from that.

He also said the tape isn't actually done. Figures.

Wayne says that Dedication 4 will be out next week.

Just want to know what happened to Well Done 3 though since it was due out 2 weeks ago.

The highly anticipated LP release by artist, 2 Chainz, did not disappoint in its first week. As of now, the expected first week sales is in the range of 130-140 thousand.

Pretty good for the amount of haters he has.

The features on here are completely unreal. Its literally a who is who in the rap game today. For this to happen on a mixtape makes me cry a little. Breaking down the songs that he freestyles over is crazy. I remember when Lil Wayne appeared on Mac Miller's song "The Question", and now he's doing a freestyle over "Loud" and Mac Miller is on his track with Lupe Fiasco! Completely unreal.

He's even doing a song with Wiz Khalifa AND freestyles three, that's THREE of his tracks.

Most of these features are sick but also understandable. Then you see Tyler, the Creator! I'm so pumped for just about every song. I have a feeling this will be the mixtape that brings Weezy back to relevance.

ASAP Rocky Announces A$AP Mob Album Release Date

Today on Twitter, the leader of the A$AP mob, A$AP Rocky, tweeted out the name of the first mob album and gave a release date.

Rocky said that the album will be released on August 28. The name of the album will be Lords Never Worry. The mob already released the first single off of the album, "Bath Salt".

I'm honestly more excited about Rocky's solo album LongLiveA$AP that comes out on September 11.

Released today was the cover art for Machine Gun Kelly's upcoming mixtape EST 4 Life. Of course this comes days after he announced the October 9th release date for his first album Lace Up.

Busta Rhymes Announces Release Date

Busta Rhymes announced today on Twitter that his free album Year of the Dragon will be released August 21st.

This will be Busta's first album released under YMCMB. Except to see a lot of features from other YMCMB artists.

Machine Gun Kelly Announcement

Last night on uStream, rapper Machine Gun Kelly announced the release date for his upcoming album Lace Up.

Kels announced that the album will be released October 9th of this year.

Way too many people hate on this guy saying that he's just a Yelawolf wannabe or whatever. Other people say the only good song he's ever had was "Wild Boy" and that's only because Waka carried the song. I think its obvious that they have never listened to his first mixtape Homecoming. That mixtape carried some of the realest music I have ever heard.

Still not a fan? Maybe listen to 100 Words and Running. Those freestyles are some of the best that I heard over those beats.

Still not impressed? Lace Up is one of my favorite mixtapes ever.

Still not a fan? Have you even listened to Rage Pack?? Listen to "The Pledge". Or his "Chasing Pavements" cover. What about "Half Naked and Almost Famous"? All GREAT, REAL songs.

Cover Art For O.N.I.F.C.

Wiz Khalifa released the cover art for upcoming album O.N.I.F.C. last night. It's not exactly what everyone expected to see. It certainly is different.

O.N.I.F.C. is due out September 18th as it has been pushed back since, but Wiz and Spitta (Curren$y) will be releasing the Live in Concert mixtape to commemorate three years since they released High Life TOMORROW.

Too Cold Tuesday

In honor of Tha Joker (Joker Too Cold) and Too Cold Tuesdays, enjoy the official music video of the title track of Tha Joker's album The Phenom. 

Tha Joker is currently serving jail time, but will be released in 17 days to kill the game once again. Mac Miller On His Next Album

Mac Miller just did an interview with MTV about his next LP project that he says should be released in early 2013.

Mac states that he already has 22 tracks done that he can choose from to put on his sophomore album. He also states that this album is going to be something different than Blue Slide Park.

 "I don't care if we go #1, I don't care about selling records. That shit is awesome, but this album, I just need to do something different. It's gonna be awesome, and it's gonna be a trip into my head."

The only problem with this is the last time I heard a rapper say that, it was Kid Cudi before the release of the WZRD project. I'm a little bit scared now when someone says things like that.

On the bright side, I have a feeling the records on there will be a lot like the song Mac released earlier this summer "Day One: A Song About Nothing" in which he produced, mixed, and wrote himself.

Be on the lookout for Mac's Pink Slime project that will feature Pharell beats. In case you missed the first track released off of that project, here it is.

Mac also tweeted yesterday that him and Pharrell plan on dropping another record off of Pink Slime very soon.

Big Eminem News

Eminem just announced in an interview that he's working on a collab record right now with Kendrick Lamar and  Lady Gaga.

Em said that the song is called "Street Lights" and is a pretty uptempo song.

Expect this to come out on Em's new LP project.
